This refreshing watermelon agua fresca recipe is the perfect way to beat the heat this summer.
This drink is a cross between a smoothie and a juice, and it’s made with just three ingredients: watermelon, lime juice, and mint leaves. The mint gives it a subtle flavor that’s not too overpowering. The lime gives it a nice tartness, which complements the sweetness of the melon. It’s served over ice, so you can enjoy it right away or chill it in an ice bath and serve later!
Agua frescas are popular in Mexico and Central America because they’re made with fresh fruit and herbs, which means that they’re also healthy and packed with vitamins. This one has less than 100 calories per serving (that’s one cup), so you can have your drink and eat it too!
